Susan joined the Wightons team in 1999, after a career at Victoria Legal Aid. She has extensive experience in family law and domestic violence matters. Susan is the lead practitioner for our family law team and provides advice and representation in areas of children’s issues, property negotiation, resolution and divorce.
She has extensive experience in Child Protection applications initiated by the Department of Human Services, representing the interests of parents and children in this jurisdiction.
Susan has an interest in ensuring victims of family violence are supported through the separation process to achieve a resolution of their dispute in a manner which provides an opportunity for concerns to be recognised and addressed.
When away from her practise, Susan is developing her skills and knowledge of beekeeping as a hobby apiarist to compliment her keen interest in her gardens and mini orchard.
