Introduction: Alana has been a part of the team at Lifecare Frankston for 4 years, beginning her career in private practice as a new graduate. She has enjoyed working with us and developing her skills in a wide variety of injuries including sporting injuries, compensable injuries, paediatrics, Pilates and women’s health.
Professional Interests: Alana is passionate about treating athletes, gymnasts and dancers and has a special interest in paediatric sports injuries. She is also interested in infant conditions including plagiocephaly and torticollis as well as developmental delay. Alana enjoys working with a wide variety of conditions including lower back pain and compensable injuries as well as taking Reformer Pilates classes.
Personal Interests: Alana is currently enjoying city life in Richmond and loves exploring Melbourne, keeping active and spending time with friends and family. She enjoys gymnastics, aerial hoop, Pilates, wakeboarding, snowboarding, cycling and running to keep her staying fit and healthy.
Alana has been involved with local clubs including the Southern Districts Rugby Club, Frankston Bombers football club and recently, Mornington Youth Club Gymnastics. Alana is interested in assisting the club to reduce recovery time for injured gymnasts as well as work closely with coaches in establishing an injury prevention program for gymnasts. She has recently returned to gymnastics training and hopes to compete in the masters in the future.
She also enjoys camping trips to the Murray River and along the coast of Australia as well as traveling and exploring overseas.
